I had the pleasure of coming across a nice escrima clip that was produced by an escrima instructor in the UK. He starts off by sharing his evolution into escrima and I think it really hits home with so many escrima players. I know very few escrima practitioners that have ONLY practiced Filipino Martial Arts, or FMA.
The instructor is GM Steve Tappin at Urban Escrima and his first experience in a FMA class was very similar to my own experience.
Lastly, I really like how he attributes good empty hand skills to good weapons skills.
